All -

I will be putting together a Food Court All-Star team.  If you would like to nominate someone please submit it to me at some point.  No deadlines, but the sooner the better.

I nominate Roy Gifford, for coming when his team wasn't even playing, but not for his inability to spell my last name.

I should have prefaced the email with saying that Myself, Sterling, Mike O, and Alex Moore all are already on the team.  Roy after showing up last week when not playing you have an automatic bid as well.  I liked the dedication.

Sterling, the only reason your last name has two S's is because the first one is too damn lazy to do the job of a single S.

I'd definitely like to nominate Quinn Scripter, Thomas Moore, and William Ellison, who have all dedicated themselves to FC heartily, especially in the off-season.

I wish I showed up more.  Working in Rockville and my 8-5:30 work schedule doesn't really allow it.  I did go once this season and a few times in the offseason.  That being said I nominate William.

While I'm certainly not on the ballot I would like to take this opportunity to say that I appreciate the work that you all do. You pioneers of the food court, you dreamers that dared to defy conventional wisdom, you all represent the ethos that makes our country great. My hats off to you, and I hope that someday I can live up to the lofty standard befitting people of your character.

I work in Gaithersburg from 8:30am - 5pm, live in Arlington, and still get there by 5:15pm (and on rare occassions, 4pm).  I call shenanigan's Matt Rahn!!   :)

Dude that is impossible, Troy.  There is no way you could make it to the food court from Gaithersburg in 15 minutes. haha nice try.

Side note: my team has had the early game almost every week.  If I get on the metro at 5:40 I get to the fields around 6:20 for a game that starts at 6:30.  The games that I have late I always have to ref.

$149 group rate for duct/dryer cleaning? something helpful for home safety.

We’re currently scheduling a dryer vent cleaning with Michael, and if a few more neighbors are interested, we can get a group discount. Normally this service costs $399, but with multiple homes it drops to $149 per home. Cleaning your dryer vent is really important because lint and dust buildup can become a serious fire hazard if not maintained properly. We’ve used this service before, and they do an excellent job. (They also offer duct cleaning and chimney cleaning if needed)

if anyone needs that as well. If you’re interested, please send me your availability, home address, and phone number via email, and I’ll add you to the list.
