[dc-area-cnc] Friday Night: Live Moth Observation at Potomac Overlook Park

Hello Again CNC Friends - also happening this week: Live Moth Observation at Potomac Overlook Park.

This Friday, Matt Felprin, roving naturalist for NoVa Parks, and Capital Nature's Ana Ka'ahanui will host a Moonlight Moth Stakeout at 9:00 pm. They will install a white sheet and shine a black light on it to see whose attention they may attract. It can be pretty spectacular. My favorites at a recent event were an imperial moth and a dobsonfly.

Your observations will count toward Moth Week (Moth Mania!) on iNaturalist.
