Good spring things have been happening! Virtual CNC events are scheduled and taking registration. Invite your friends!
- Tuesday, April 6, 7-8pm: Discovering Nature East of the River with the City Nature Challenge. Introduction to the City Nature Challenge and amazing places to observe east of the Anacostia River. Register here!
- Monday, April 12, noon- 1pm: You Can Be a Citizen Scientist: An Intro to the 2021 City Nature Challenge. Lunchtime introduction to the DC area City Nature Challenge and iNaturalist. This edition starring Carrie Seltzer of iNaturalist. Register here.
- Wednesday, April 14, 7-8pm: You Can Be a Citizen Scientist: An Intro to the 2021 City Nature Challenge. Evening introduction to the DC area City Nature Challenge and iNaturalist. Register here.
- Also: We’re hosting a virtual ID party on Wednesday, May 5, 7-9pm. Learn some iNaturalist tips and get pointers on identifying mystery species! We’ll use virtual breakout rooms to focus on plant, birds, reptiles & amphibians, mammals, “unknown,” and more. If you’d be willing to facilitate a breakout room (no ID expertise required) or serve as an ID resource for one of the breakout rooms, please contact me at dba...@tnc.org.
