Field Events: We’ve just updated our regional CNC website with field events! See https://citynaturechallengedc.org/events/ to see them all mapped out, color-coded by day.  This map only shows public events. If you’ve submitted info on events that are just for your employees, members, or pals, they will not show on this map (but thank you for filling out the Google form so we know about them!) Events so far are offered all the way up in Frederick County, down to Charles County, and out to Haymarket VA.

Virtual events:  There’s room for more virtual events too!  Trainings, ID events…even events scheduled just for your organization that might have an extra Zoom spot or two.

More events: We are ready to list more events as you get them planned.  We’ll produce a map after every few new events we receive. List events using this Google form.

Partners page: While you’re at it, please make sure that your organization is listed as you want it to be on our Partners page.  Please check that the logo, description and web link are current, and if not, please send details to dba...@tnc.org for updating!

Love your Federal lands! Remember as you continue planning your CNC participation: this year we are trying to use our CNC participation to make visible the love that people have for federal lands.  Think about where you can lead an event—or explore on your own—on federal lands in the Washington Metro area. Federal sites in the events lineup so far include Catoctin Mountain Park, Mallows Bay, C&O Canal, and the Southern Maryland National Wildlife Refuge in Charles County, the newest addition to the NWR system. What can YOU add to the effort?

Planning call for event organizers: Finally, we have one more planning call for CNC event organizers who want ideas, community, resources, a sounding board, or general support in planning for CNC-DC-2025.  Join a Zoom call on Friday, April 11, 2-3pm at this link See notes from our kickoff call in February.

Enjoy the next few weeks of our lovely DC-area spring!
