Hi all, today is the 4th and final day of the City Nature Challenge and we encourage you to make observations in your neighborhood and local parks. Thank you to all the organizers who have helped make this year such a success!

How is the DC metro area doing?
In our 10th year, the DC metro area is once again ranked in the top 10 cities out of almost 800 cities in 60+ countries!

Currently we are:
#2 for number of observers
#4 for identifiers
#7 for observations
#9 for species

These rankings will change until the final numbers are announced on May 13th.

See the current global live results here: https://www.citynaturechallenge.org/live
You can sort by the 4 categories.

We are closing out the CNC with Nocturnal Naturalists at Bull Run Regional Park tonight from 8-10 pm. We’ll be using UV lights to find things that glow in the dark, monitor a moth sheet and explore other nighttime nature.
