ACX Meetup / Nerd Party: Feb 8, 7pm
We're potlucking, so please bring your best dish and drinks, several others will be as well. The kitchen counter book exchange continues to be popular so please keep bringing books you'd like to share. And if anyone wants to organize other activities, please let us know.
Medieval Dinner: Feb 13, 7pm
On Thursday the 13th Tim is preparing a dinner party which will recreate a Medieval stewed beef ribs recipe with cloves, saffron and zante currants. Guests are encouraged to RSVP to Tim at 203 822 8821 via Whatsapp, and to bring a drink, or a small dessert or side. Medieval themed drinks are fun.
Show up at 7, food will be served starting at 8. You can see the recipe here. If you have any questions, ask Tim.
The address is 1002 N Street NW, follow the sign for "Free Utility". It's 2 blocks from Mt. Vernon square metro and 6 blocks from Metro Center. There is street parking, the 24/7 gas station at 1317 9th Street will cheaply sell you a spot.
DC Forecasting & Prediction Markets Meetup: TBD
Join us for our first DC Forecasting & Prediction Markets meetup of the year! This will be a very casual meetup to meet and socialize with others interested in forecasting, prediction markets, political gambling, sports betting, or anything else relating to predicting the future.
Time/Location are TBD but you'll be notified when we've finalized a venue if you sign up here.
This month's meetup will be Saturday, 2/8 at 7:00pm. If the weather is nice we may end up outside on the patio with a fire. All friends, plus ones, and interesting acquaintances are welcome!
