Meeseeks is interested in running a special AI project get together where people show up what they've got the robots to do for them. If you're interested, be sure to let him know, he'll pay 5 bucks to the first person to mention this to him.
We're potlucking, so please bring your best dish and drinks, several others will be as well. The kitchen counter book exchange continues to be popular so please keep bringing books you'd like to share. And if anyone wants to organize other activities, please let us know.

DC Forecasting & Prediction Markets Meetup: TBD
DC Forecasting & Prediction Markets will have a meetup this month. This will be a very casual meetup to meet and socialize with others interested in forecasting, prediction markets, political gambling, sports betting, or anything else relating to predicting the future.
Time/Location are TBD but you'll be notified when we've finalized a venue if you sign up .
This month's meetup will be Saturday, 3/8 at 7:00pm. If the weather is nice we may end up outside on the patio with a fire. All friends, plus ones, and interesting acquaintances are welcome!

The address is 1002 N Street NW, follow the sign for "Free Utility". It's 2 blocks from Mt. Vernon square metro and 6 blocks from Metro Center. Dedicated Discussion Meetup: Mar 15, 7:30 pm
Join us on Saturday, March 15th for Washington DC's Astral Codex Ten in Herndon. The question to be discussed is "How will technological advancement change property relations and should societies do anything to guide this change?"
Dr. Alexander recently talked about radical improvements in technology having an impact on property relations: It's Still Easier To Imagine The End Of The World Than The End Of Capitalism (https://www.astralcodexten.com/.../its-still-easier-to...). How likely are these different possibilities talked about and are there any others? How should governments deal with increasing technological capabilities? How should individuals plan on dealing with these changes?
The discussion will happen from approximately 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm. You can arrive as early as 6:30 PM and there will be an informal social before and after the dedicated discussion. Some snacks and refreshments will be provided; feel free to bring your own.
This will take place at 205 Meeting House Station Square #403, Herndon, Virginia 20170. There is a parking lot for the building, nearby street parking, and rides from the Herndon metro station can be arranged. Use code 0072 on the call box and Ben can buzz you in.
