ACX Meetup: October 3, 7pm  
This month's meetup will be Saturday the 19th at 7:00pm. If the weather is nice we will be outside on the patio with a fire. As ever, all friends, plus ones, and interesting acquaintances are welcome!

This is also the weekend of the DSL meetup. People will be flying in from all over the country and occupying 1002 N street., which will be open to all from October 2-4. Throughout the weekend, the kitchen will be in continual operation.  Feel free to come by any time this weekend, there will always be something going on and people to talk to.  If there's one meetup to come to all year, you should make it this one.

The Discussion Group: Oct 22, 5:30pm

Come join The Discussion Group, a new defense & foreign policy forum hosted in partnership with Pacific Foundry.  We're gathering a mix of people from government, industry, think tanks enthusiasts to get together, grab a drink, and dig into the big questions shaping America's place in the world. It's part debate club, part happy hour, and a great way to meet people who love this stuff as much as you do.

Each meeting will be focused on a big question like are America's alliances getting stronger or weaker, Could the U.S. military sustain a long war against a major power, or is the Pentagon buying the right things with plenty of room to go off topic if that's where the evening takes us.  

The topic for this month is still TBD but I look forward to seeing you all there.

Both events are at 1002 N street NW, 20001.  It's 2 blocks from Mt. Vernon square metro and 6 blocks from Metro Center. There is street parking, the 24/7 gas station at 1317 9th Street will cheaply sell you a spot. If you have any issues or questions, message us here.
