Dear Jalli Sir,Kindly find attached a sheet for GST multiplying factor calculations with a slightly different presentation. Although there is not much left to say after the elaborate calculations provided by you, I still hope this sheet is simpler and would add to the understanding of how the Reverse calculation is done to arrive at the Multiplication factor. Please post it on the group if you agree, as I am not able to post on the group.with regards,Mridul RatnuJTO (C)O/o CE(C), Uttarakhand Civil Zone

Since, there is no approval from Corp. office, our higher office may object. Hence, I just formulated it by the same procedure as given in the rate analysis provided by the CPWD so that it will be easy to check. You can also submit your calculations, provided that they should understand and accept. Anyhow, that is one time process. dbSoft will take care rest of things. To post message on the group send mail to dbsoft...@googlegroups.comwith regards,Rambabu JalliAsst. SirIn this multyplication factor calculation the CP& OH is caculating on GST While the GSt should be at the finished rate .The gross amount =w(1+f)(1.15 (A) includes the cp & OHbut reverse calculation (B) gross amount = (100/18XWf)+Wf is not includes the cp charges and A& B is not equalSir, this factor arise increase the item rate and extra Cp to agency.Inthis factor looking some thing wronge . please check and gaude me

Sir ,Few queries about the estimates and tender1) while preparing the estimate whether the rate analysis for Non DSR items to be made taking into account the reversible factor i.e 0.2016 or estimates are to be prepared with old methods.i.e 1 % water charges,10% contractor profit, 18%GST and 1%BCWS
2) whether in percentage rate tender , rates of all items should include the GST or not ?

Subject: Re: [dbSoft - users: 484] Fwd: GST multiplication factor - your mail on dbsoft-users group regarding
Dear Sir,The CPWD had originally issued orders to add GST at the end after CP & OH! But, the Builders Association of India made a representation to CPWD to allow CP and OH on the GST also. For Rate Analysis purpose we consider all the basic rates with out GST. But practically the contractor has to pay GST on each material and procure. The same will be paid to him at the time of bill. Hence, a modified order has been released by CPWD to add GST in the form of multiplying factor allowing CP & OH on the GST amount also. While making making payment, net amount (SES amount) shall be Gross Amount / 1.18 (if GST is 18%).
Hence, there is no error in the calculations.
