In the current version, you can add Labour cess for each item.

In the 'Basic Rate Input' Screen, put a check mark for 'Add Taxes in Analysis'

Another screen will be opened :
Enter Labour Cess 1% as shown in the following screen shot :

If you want to add at the end of Justification statement, you have add manually by inserting extra rows.

Sir,
to do FRAC, I come across the following problem regarding calculating the Depriciated cost of the Buildings. I am enclosing the relevant page from CPWD Works Manual 2014. In the Manual Depriciated cost D = 0.94xCxA .
                                                                                                                                            A+R
If we calculate the Depriciated cost with this formula, Depriciated cost for Old Building comes higher that that of the new Building with the same details, which is not convincing. Kindly guide in the matter.
Thanks

Dear Sir,
Yes, what you said is right. So far, I too did not notice.

Actually it is the depreciation, not the depreciated cost.

D= 0.94 x C x A / (A+R)

So,

Depreciated Cost shall be  C - D

Dc= C-0.94 x C x A / (A+R)
    = C {1+0.94xA/(A+R)}

I will make necessary modification in the dbSoft

You are right, sir. We did not notice it on dbsoft, but in manual calculations, were using this formula for depreciation only.
Mistake in Works Manual...

Dear sir,
Yes. As per the formula D= 0.94 x C x A / (A+R) in CPWD manual, it is depreciation and not depreciated cost. However, at present dbsoft is using the formula  D=0.94 x (CxR) / (A+R) (not D= 0.94 x C x A / (A+R)) which is in a way correct. 0.94xC is the depreciable value (considering 6% residual value). Now with the formula D=0.94 x (CxR) / (A+R), dbsoft is calculating proportionate value for the residual life. (R is the residual life. A+R is the total life). This is also correct in one way. However, if we use Dc= C-0.94 x C x A / (A+R), the figures will slightly differ but not abnormally. This is my view. You are the better judge.

Diwakar

Yes sir,
Actually the formula is same as our old proforma which we used long back.
I too forgot this. (Did not follow the formula as per CPWD Works Manual - 2014)

In my opinion the right way is to do it with Dc= C-0.94 x C x A / (A+R).

Sir,
It is better to have Justification statement of without GST and with GST in a single sheet instead of separate sheets. Then comparison and taking the printouts will be easy and economical.

Now no need to do rate analysis with GST. Hence, dbSoft has been updated accordingly.
