Why Isn't the Inventory Re-Credited when a Sales Order/Invoice is Deleted?

The inventory is controlled by the line items that are added and taken
off of a Sales Order/Invoice, depending on the settings you have in
company setup. When you delete a Sales Order/Invoice, the line items
still exist in the tables, so the inventory is not re-credited. To
adjust the inventory at the same time you are deleting a Sales Order/
Invoice you must delete the line items first, then the Sales Order/
Invoice.
