You can run the Business! accounting software on Vista and Windows 7.
The most common issue users have with running our software on these
platforms is in setting the correct permissions. Both Vista and
Windows 7 are much more aggressive in locking down permissions to
files and folders on the local workstation. Our software requires the
user have FULL ACCESS to both the program database (busstd.mdb or
buspro.mdb) and the data file. Make sure you have read/write/execute/
delete access to all files in the Business! Pro / Business! Std folder
as well as to the data file.
You may find it easier to move the Business! folder to the user's
folder rather than Program Files.
You will find many articles that deal with setting permissions in
Vista and Windows 7. This is not an easy task! We recommend you
contact your PC support person to handle this for you. If you do not
