Tennis tournament

Hi there,

 

Are u guys ready to play tournament this week? Looks like the weather is gonna good from Wednesday to saturday. Please let me know what days work best for you. I think it might take couple of days to finish the tournament. Did u guys get a chance yet to make the lottery for team selection or any other opinions? Let's have some fun before the winter starts.

  We need to finalise the players first . Till now following players are confirmed .

    Praveen   Harun      Ajay

 

We will wait till tomorrow , if we dont hear from others then we can plan for the tournament with these six people.

 

Bhaskar will guide   us  for the rules of the matches.

Well Thursday works for me too.

And the team selection is ok for me too, although we all know who is going to win the tournament, and that too 6-0 in most of the matches.

But looks like, the matches between the other two weak teams will be competitive.

 

So if weather permits, lets meet at the battleground on Thursday at 7 PM.

Ajay, we need to work hard to be in 2nd position...

And in our matches against Harun/Bhaskar, I would consider it a big achievement if we get atleast 1 point. We should not let them win 6-0 in both the matches.

 

So as Bhaskar suggested, we should play a total of 6 matches, two matches each between 2 teams.

Some matches, as we all know, are going to finish very quickly with 6-0 or at most 6-1, and some might go upto 7-9, 8-10...

So I think, we should schedule accordingly, taking this fact into consideration.

Not sure getting 1 point against Bhaskar & Harun, but I'm sure we can get atleast 2point against Bhabani & Praveen :)

If u look at any world cup history, u can easily see that no hot favorite team had become champion finally. I still consider all other teams as our competator, not the underdog. So, pls be hopeful and focus on the games instead of thinking too much abt our auntie:)

I talked to AJ yesterday. AJ and Sasanka are clearly worried about Bhaskar-Harun. Me and Bhabani are worried about AJ-Sasanka. :-) They are in good form, good fitness, very consistent.
