The teenage group from the Salvation Army Boys/Girls club will be
making desserts for our Day Watch Event which takes place on Nov.
21st. We have decided to prepare Brownies, Oatmeal Cookies, and
Chocolate Chip Cookies.
I have 2 youth groups who wish to put together the snack bags and
hygiene kits. This event will take place on Saturday morning Nov.
21st, the day of our outreach. I would like to begin at 9am. We need
donations for these snack bags and hygiene kits. We can use: small
tubes of toothpaste, small deodorants (large if we cannot get the
small ones), hotel size shampoo, conditionor, lotion, combs, soap,
wash clothes. I just found deodorant for $ .40 each. If you are
interested in purchasing this for the event, I can give you the
website. The snack bags can be filled with small chip bags, slim jims,
little debbie snack cakes, peanut butter crackers, vienna sausages,
potted meat, and items like that. I just used brand names so you could
understand what type of product we are looking for.
If you are interested in donating any of the above products, please
contact me so we can know where we fall short before the event. I have
some money that has been donated and whatever we do not get, we will
purchase those items.
We will have blankets to give out at our Day Watch. We are also
looking for gloves, hats (toboggans), socks, and undergarments.
I only have about 5 volunteers signed up so far. Whenever you decide
you can participate, let me know please. I will update you next week
as to the status of each category mentioned.
Have a great weekend! Shalom,
Deb Fisher
