Day Watch January 30, 2010 Snow Update
Day Watch

Day Watch at the Library is cancelled only because the Library is
closed. I contacted Urban Ministry this morning. They are unsure if
their volunteer night cooking/serving crew will be in tonight. I have
one committed driver with a 4 wheel drive vehicle to pick up our food.
We have decided to serve/help at Urban Ministry with our Day Watch
food. The people we would have served at the Library are actually at
Urban Ministry for the most part.
Most people do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Saying this, I pray
you have an incredibly peaceful day at home or in the snow. It is not
worth your safety or the possibility of you getting stuck to try to
come out if you do not have the proper vehicle. If you have a 4 wheel
drive vehicle and what to come and help tonight at 6:30pm (feeding at
7pm), please let me know. (email at d...@fishersweets.com,or call
336-337-7005 or 336-373-0378). Otherwise we will have enough people
who can walk to Urban Ministry or ride with the 4 wheel drive vehicle
to help.
Pray for peace and unity at all the shelters today, for that matter
everywhere! Thank you for your support. We will miss everyone for our
'normal' Day Watch but it appears as though God has a different plan.
Our next Day Watch is looking like it may be in April. We will keep
you updated as soon as we have a definite date.
