Day Watch is planning on having an event for our homeless friends and
those in need in Greensboro on November 21st. This event will be
smaller than the normal Day Watch events we have hosted in the past.
We will NOT have bingo or haircuts. Our goal is to provide anyone in
need a hot meal, drink (hot & cold), snack bags, hygiene kits, and
clothing.

I am asking for glove, hat, scarf, snack bag items, hygiene kit items,
and food donations. If you are wanting to buy hats, gloves, or scarf,
don't. I can go to wholesale alley in Lexington and purchase them in
bulk for cheaper than you can buy them even at the dollar store. We
will accept money donations to help witht these purchases if you would
like.

We would like to be able to hand out these winter items to all who
come by our Day Watch, including children. If we get enough can food
donations, we can give out bags of food at this event. We could also
use some used clothing, adult and children.

We will need volunteers for cooking and cleaning up before the event.
I have an organization who will pay for the meal. I would like to get
the items donated then we will not need to ask for as much from this
already generous group. They paid for the last Day Watch!

I will need volunteers for serving food, handing out hygiene kits,
snack bags, fellowshipping with friends who come out to be served, a
set up crew (chairs and maybe tents), and many volunteers for the
clothes. If we could have volunteers before the event to sort and put
clothing items in some kind of order it would save us a great deal of
time.

I would like to ask you to respond to me at d...@fishersweets.com if
you are interested in helping in any way for this event. Thank you
for serving others.

Sincerely,

Deb Fisher

Hi Deb,

What times do you need individuals to serve?
