Every year thermal duration pilots throughout the Midwest compete in the Ohio Valley Soaring Series (OVSS). In 2026 the series will consist of 8 thermal duration contests with overall scores totaled from the best 4 contest performances. Pilots who fly the NATS will be credited with their highest of ALES or F5J scores. The schedule follows:

Apr 18-19 Darts/Moss, F5J Lite, Twin Towers, Yellow Springs, Ohio

May 2,3 LASS F5J Tour, Elizabethtown, Kentucky,
May 16,17 F5J Darts Twin Towers Yellow Springs Ohio

May 30-31, Cincinnati Aero, Harrison, Ohio
June 20,21 F5J Tour, House Mountain RC, Knoxville, Tennessee
July 19-24 NATS ALES, F5J Muncie, Indiana
August 22,23 F5J Tour Cincinnati Aero, Harrison, Ohio
Sept 19,20 Fall Roundup, F5J Tour, Muncie, Indiana
