July Singing

Hello Friends,

Once again it's time for our regular Dayton monthly singing this coming Sunday, July 27th, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.at LCOS ( that's Lutheran Church of Our Savior, for anyone new to the group) in Oakwood. As we continue the "Summertime Blues" season, there is also a touch of green this year, as we are now using the Missouri Harmony (green in color) as well as the blue books (Cooper Sacred Harp and Dayton Harmonist) that we have been using. We had a small group as we kicked off the summertime blues last month, but we had a good time singing old favorites from the blue books and learning some new (to us) tunes from the green book, and God was with us. So we hope for a larger crowd this time and urge everyone to come and sing praise to God and enjoy the fellowship! And I hasten to add, in view of the weather we've been having lately, we have air conditioning! Everyone is welcome, and loaner books are available. So bring your books, bring some good food for supper at 5:00, and bring your love for God and for this music, and come join us.
