Friends and colleagues:

Tonight at 7PM, Governor Kasich used the line item veto to strike down several provisions in the state budget, including one that would prohibit Ohio from expanding Medicaid to 275,000 Ohioans. That is great news! The link to the entire document is here: http://www.governor.ohio.gov/Portals/0/FY2014-15%20Budget%20Veto%20Messages.pdf. The provision to allow chiropractors to clear student athletes with concussions to resume sports activity was also struck down. Unfortunately, many provisions dealing with abortions were left intact.
