Does anyone know if the freight elevator is working?  I have a large'ish project I want to work on this weekend, but I can't get it up and back down if the elevator isn't working.

Along related lines, can someone tell me if the work benches are clear enough to work on?

Thanks,

 -J

The work benches are pretty much cleaned off. At least they were last time I was there which was Wednesday. There are some power cords and surge protectors on one bench.

The last time I tried to use the elevator I couldn't get it to work. The motor started but when I pulled the cable nothing happened. I might of been doing something wrong though.

Do you think you can get your project upstairs if you had some help? I can come and help you if you need it. I probably was going to stop by any ways.

Joe and Rocket,

Thanks to both of you for the update (current and upcoming) on the space.

To answer Joe's question, yes I think we could get the project up the stairs if we had to.  I am building a three stair stand alone set of steps for Maureen to use at the National Robotics League competition which is next weekend.  The arean they are using did not ship the steps and it is too tall to get into and out of without them.  When I get to the space I will need to bring up some tools and a small stack of lumber.  When I leave I will need to carry the steps out to my car (in two or three pieces which should easily fit down the big straight stairs in the building).

Joe, I would be very happy to have some help tomorrow.  I expect I will get to the space a little after lunch time.  I can call/text when I am on my way if you are free.

Thanks again everyone,

 -J

Elevator works! You just have to use your man muscles to pull the cord up.
