Thereare a number of possible explanations for why verification codes don't always arrive. Read through the list of the most common causes, and see if any of them apply to you, or use our troubleshooter to help guide you.

Did your email send your verification code to your junk folder?

Check your junk email folder for a message from a Microsoft account, and use the code sent to you. Valid verification codes come from an @accountprotection.microsoft.com email address.

Is your phone number or email address entered correctly?

To keep your information safe when you're signing in, we only show you the last two digits of your phone number or the first two characters of your email address.

Does your alternate email address end in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com?

If so, you're using one Microsoft account to verify another Microsoft account. This can make it tricky to keep track of which one you're signed in to. When you sign in to the second account (to get the code sent to that email), most browsers automatically sign you out of the first account (the one that's actually requesting the code).

Open a new window in privacy mode. Ctrl + Shift + P is the shortcut for InPrivate Browsing in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. If you're using a different browser, check that browser's help for info about privacy mode.

Unusual activity. You may be blocked due to unusual activity. Microsoft works to protect you, your accounts, and our services by assessing the trustworthiness and credibility of every sign-in, sign-up, or customer interaction. If your actions trigger alerts or deviate significantly from your typical patterns, we might interpret it as potentially risky behavior, leading to temporary block.

There may be heavy compromised traffic coming from your geographical location and to protect you, we may also block your account. While rare, these issues will be automatically resolved after a certain period of time.

Read Terms of Service: Familiarize yourself with the Microsoft account terms of service to understand the rules and guidelines. Review the section related to account blocks and determine if any of your activities may have violated these terms.

When you see a message asking you to make sure you can receive a verification code, verify or add new security info. You can skip it for 24 hours at a time, but after seven days from the first notice you'll have to verify or add new security info before you can sign in again.

I am currently facing a persistent issue with not receiving the verification email for my Escape from Tarkov account. I have already contacted the support team via email using Outlook, but have not yet received a response. This problem has persisted for several days, and I want to share the details here to see if anyone has encountered a similar situation or can offer helpful suggestions.

However, I am not receiving the verification email that is supposed to contain the code. This issue occurs consistently during login on the website, launcher. It's worth noting that I do receive certain emails from Tarkov, such as confirmation emails for this forum. I have checked the spam folder and waited for extended periods, but the verification email is not reaching me.

I have already sent an email to the support team via Outlook but have not yet received a response. The problem has persisted for several days, and I am concerned about the duration of this process. I am seeking additional advice.

Any suggestions or advice that could help me resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Every wipe this happens, their email servers are simply DEAD. Outlook/hotmail mostly impacted. Only patience will get you through this, try every 24 hours ... Try contacting BSG also but they probably won't answer ...

I'm also receiving this email in Asia. Logged a support request and still had no contact after 72hrs. Cannot log on at all and commence the wipe. Super poor for a issue that's been around since early 2021.

I found a FIX. i have been having same issue for few days with no verification email. i recently upgraded my pc and come back to tarkov this wipe. i booted up my old pc and tried logging in and bam straight away i get the verification code from bsg. it must be hardware change that is preventing the codes from coming through idk. if you have upgraded pc maybe try your old one and see how that goes. best of luck guys, hopefully bsg sorts this out.

Contacted support, no help. They won't change my email, and won't or can't fix their email verification system. I really enjoyed the game, so much so that here I am 2yrs later still randomly trying to gain access to my account. Thought about buying another copy of EoD, but can't justify giving a company more money when I could just end up back in the same place of not having access to a product I paid for. I hope those of you having this issue have better luck than I've had.

However, the change password emails reach my inbox just fine, that means it's not my email issue. So, all in all, BSG need to get on top of this but I fail to see any effort trying to fix this. Unbelievable!

Contacted customer support like 6 times, they don't know how to fix it. Seeing this issue been happening since 2015, i am not expecting to see my account working again. No wonder they are voted worst app and customer service in gaming industry. You won't see any money from me, and i advise everyone else to skip them, they are not worth your time or money..

I think i figured it out! I've been fighting with this problem for a long time as well. I finally somehow managed to open my EA account through trying to install an EA game from my Epic Games Store account. It was such a great achievement that I then proceeded to changing my EA account's settings so that I wouldn't be locked out in the future. I realized that I still couldn't change any of my settings because they would all also need a verification and no verification email was being sent... except after changing ONE SETTING: Go to Email Preferences -> Manage your email preferences and check the checkbox for "Yes, email me about EA's products, news, events and promotions....." I then checked the EA app under Preferred platforms and pressed the Update button. That seemed to do the trick. If you want to get a verification email from EA, you have to also accept their junk mail.

Go to Email Preferences -> Manage your email preferences and check the checkbox for "Yes, email me about EA's products, news, events and promotions....." Then check the EA app under Preferred platforms and press the Update button.

You have to accept junk mail from EA or you won't be able to get their verification emails either. Click this link: -ui/emailpreferences/index

If you have an outlook email address, you may want to check your blocked senders and domains in Settings/Mail/Junk email of your account. There's a high chance that the EA automated address is blocked.

I submit my email address for a verification code and get nothing. I click on "resubmit code" and get the first code (apparently) which comes back as invalid. "Resubmit" again, another code comes. Again invalid. I'm ready and willing to transcribe names, but can't get in.

We are sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble receiving the correct verification code for transcribing. We have forwarded your issue on to our developers but wanted to check if you were still having issues accessing the transcription interface?

I should have indicated that my email address (att.net) self-populates, so it absolutely is correct every time I submit it. I also have another email address that I use (.gmail) that tried and it also had problems. I use an Apple computer so switched from the Safari browser to Chrome and also experienced problems yesterday, although not as many.

This morning (5:30am) I got logged in, but it looks like my submissions from yesterday aren't there. I went to a page I know I typed and I'm not getting any indication of lines that know are done. Then I went to the next page that I know I haven't typed, put in line one and got a message error message - "Please try again. You've used a word or phrase that isn't allowed.". I tried another name and that isn't allowed either, so I know it's not a rogue swear word that I wasn't aware of.

The error message "Please try again. You've used a word or phrase that isn't allowed." happened on line 1 the first time and then I tried line 7. This is a screen shot from line 7. They were both the same and I haven't tried transcribing anything else today for fear that my work is in vain.

Also, before today, when I went back to a sheet that I've already worked on, when I click on "Help us transcribe names," It would pop up with the transcription by line numbers that had already been done and I could scroll across one by one to see if all the names were there and where I had left off. Just saying it's not doing that now and I'm not sure if what I transcribed is really there.

Thank you for the additional information and for sharing this screenshot. We are sorry you experienced this error, and we have reported it to our developers to investigate. It is possible that it was a temporary glitch within the system when you submitted this transcription. Would you mind trying to transcribe this same name again to see if you are able to successfully submit the transcription? If you notice this issue again, it may help to refresh or reload the page before attempting to submit the transcription again.
