one else also please!!! Steve Gardner has had a Heart attract and is
unconscious   in the Hospital,  please keep him in your thoughts and
prays please pass on to our huge extend family.

Update:   He called Paramedics him self yesterday, but left unconscious
with them. Suffered three more on the way to the hospital is still
unconscious as of last info. at St Joseph Hospital, I done know I that
is Orange or Fullerton

When there was a conversation with the person who let CA4WDC know, Bonnie asked if it was OK to let the BOD know.  She consented to that not everyone (well I don't think she said not everyone).  She was probably trying to keep a lid on this until she, the contact, had more or better news.

I'm waiting on a phone call from her, hopefully, tonight or tomorrow.  She thanked me for my understanding on her calling me back at a later time. 

I'm sure she's busy processing everything also.

Hi all,

So I have been in touch with Steve's sister, who lives out of town, and someone who works with him.

Steve is still in serious condition, and is still unconscious. Continue to send prayers and good thoughts.

I was told by the person who spoke with Bonnie that she said it was up to Bonnie how to send out the info.  She, the person, was hoping that all the people Steve touched would be able to get the information.

I will let you guys know if I hear anything else.

Hi all,

I have a message started with Steve's sister and I am waiting on a reply.

For those of you who do not have Facebook, or who are not getting posts from his friend on his page (I am not), I have included her post from last night.

To me, Marta can be a bit dramatic, but I'm hoping what she is posting is true.  Although she is not family, she was his emergency contact so I assume that is why she is getting information from the hospital.

Hello again to all of you who love Steven too. The nurse told me today that he wasn’t jerking anymore like when I saw him on Tuesday, and he was starting to move his legs around. I asked her if that meant that was a good thing? And she replied “no it’s a sign of neurological damage”! So I told her to make sure he she told him that I loved him and I missed him and that we missed going out for “Taco Tuesday”, because of his incident. She said she would tell him. Even though he is unconscious and in a comatose type of state!

Hi,

So I just heard from his sister.

She is still waiting to talk to the neurologist, so we'll see if he gives the same information the nurse gave.

This morning the nurse said his vitals have improved a little and he is requiring less O2 through the ventilator. The kidney doc is still uncertain about kidney function and he is still on dialysis.

So now it's just waiting to see what his neurologist says.

Below is what Steve's sister posted on Facebook today:

Hello everybody, yesterday I talked with 3 of Steve's doctors including the neurologist who has been evaluating Steve's brain activity. As you know, he had several cardiac arrests and subsequent resuscitation, during which time his brain was deprived of oxygen. To sum up the long conversations with the Drs, as well as Steve's nurses whom I've been talking with several times daily, the chances of Steve continuing to have a meaningful life are not good.

I want to assure you all that any decisions we have to make on Steve's behalf, in the absence of legal medical directives, will be based on reports from his medical team at the hospital, conversations with some of Steve's friends whom I have been in contact with, one of my own friends who was an ICU nurse for many years, as well as our family members.

I will continue to talk with Steve's nurses over the weekend and again with the neurologist on Monday and, unless there are any changes before then, I'll connect with you again at the beginning of the week. And I am so so sorry that I don't have positive news for you about his condition.

Please continue to send my brother your love, prayers, positive vibes, and healing energy
