CA4WDC Past Presidents Letter to Members

Hi to all,

 

I recently received a letter from the Past Presidents regarding the Association and some of its history and I am sure many of  you received the same letter. I was curious as to why Harry’s name was not listed as one of the past presidents. Per several contacts, each past president was contacted and asked if they would like to have their names included on this letter – it was their choice whether or not to be listed. Also per my contacts, Harry apparently did not respond after several requests so they went ahead and had the letter sent out without his name.

 

I just thought that I would let you know as I was concerned it was other people in the Association who intentionally left his name off.

My understanding from Helen was that Harry chose to not be included.  Of course this conversation was a couple of week before the letter came out, so I don’t know if anybody knew what the content would be.

Phyllis, first, thank you for your concern.

 

Harry was not contacted several times, but only once, by email. We were traveling & he missed the deadline. 

 

Steve, would he have signed it?  Doubtful. The letter was full of inacuracies, so much so that Ron Fite (who remembers Ron?) would have been sputtering, not the least of which was the name of the first Southern NRC, Pat DAVISON. Finally, we actually both received a copy of the letter by mail on April 30th. 

 

There were 4 past President's whose names were not included.  I don't know the others reasons, although, I doubt that Ray Moon was even asked, as Steve Morris hates him.  So be it. 

 

Speaking for myself, I am done.  I will not spend one more dime, one more minute or one more thought on ca4wdc.

 

I do however continue to enjoy hearing about club events that are done for the pure joy of being the outdoors.

 

I have no doubt that Harry & I WILL be expelled on May 19th.
