Many thanks to Mike Sackton who served as rotating secretary for the attached minutes.

We are in neeed of volunteers for the organizing committee.  The  organizing committee meets the Wednesday before the bi-monthly Monday meeting to finalize the agenda.   Members make their emails and phone numbers available to the general list for suggestions on topics of concern.

Though there is no formal requirement for service, previous members have taken turns as rotating chair, facilitator or secretary for one or more of the 5-6 meetings a year.

The need is immediate because two members of the current organizing committee are running for ward alderman while a third (myself) has been named a visiting scholar at an out-of-state university.

The year ahead will be an important one because there will be a City-staffed "visioning" process leading to a possible rezoning.   The DSTF was set up 35 years ago as an unincorporated venue to provide a forum in which incorporated entities (Tufts, businesses, the Chamber, civic and issue groups), the City, office holders and unaffiliated residents could hold non-binding discussions about Davis Square.  As there are no officers, dues, or bylaws, the process depends on the good will of all involved.

Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering, or would like more information.
