Hi everyone,
The Elmway Action Group has officially become a committee of the Davis Square Neighborhood Council, and we’re inviting DSNC members and neighbors to get involved!
What’s Elmway?
Elmway is a long-running idea to make Elm Street work more like Davis already feels — people-first, street-level, lively. For decades, folks have sketched versions of a more pedestrian-friendly Elm, and we now have a chance to test it. The goal: create a safer, more flexible street that boosts foot traffic for merchants and strengthens the Davis vibe.
The committee focuses on how Elm Street functions day-to-day and during special events, including:
Testing weekend street closures and pedestrian zones
Coordinating with the City and MBTA on traffic and bus routing
Improving accessibility, loading, and curb use
Our next meeting is:
📅 Monday, November 10
🕔 5:00 – 6:30 PM
📍 West Somerville Library, Small Meeting Room
We’ll discuss priorities for the next few months and opportunities for collaboration with other organizations.
You’re welcome to:
