The DSNC Board voted at our last meeting to make the Elmway Action Group an official committee! To make things easier going forward, I've boldly created a Google Group with the four of us who have been most active lately, plus Board member Carmen. If you'd like to be added, just let me know! I expect this email distribution list will be higher-traffic for those interested in all the nitty-gritty, including discussions, drafting documents, and coordinating canvassing and one-on-one meetings with external parties. If you don't want that level of detail, we'll continue to report in at monthly DSNC meetings and announce our big meetings to the larger email list.

If you have a question or comment related to improving Elm Street, you can now email us at elmway-ac...@googlegroups.com.

The bylaws say at least one Board member should go to a committee's meetings for coordination purposes (currently Carmen and me for this one) and committees can pick their own chair (who I currently think of as Joel Paul because he created the group!) and otherwise run themselves. Membership of this committee is currently basically anyone who shows up and wants to participate. The bylaws also say that the DSNC membership can officially refer matters to a committee, so feel free to add anything important about Elm Street you want to talk about with the larger group to the monthly DSNC agenda.
