Hi D-RUGgies!

Datalab is hosting an Open Source Symposium this Friday (10/24). There are four sessions:

- 9am: A panel discussion featuring five UC Davis professors who are open source developers (including Duncan Temple Lang, a member of the R core team who are responsible for developing the R language and interpreter.)

- 11am: Discovering OS projects

- 12 pm: lunch (catered!) and networking

- 1-4pm: learn to use Git and Github, the main forum for open source collaboration. Taught by Datalab staff.
