We will be meeting this Thursday (2/20) from 10-noon virtually and in
person in the DataLab classroom (Library 360). This is a group working
session so come with your questions
for our expeRts, or just bring your laptop and
get in some distraction free R-coding time.
Have you ever crashed RStudio because you ran out of RAM (memory)? Or maybe your code takes hours or days to run? How about this, a collaborator can't get your code to run on their computer but you can't figure out why. D-RUG on 4/10 is for you! Elise will be demonstrating how to solve these problems using RStudio on the new UC Davis high performance computing cluster Hive. Hive is a high performance computing cluster (HPC) that everyone at UC Davis has access to, no buy-in necessary. In order to be able to follow along with the demonstration go to the
HPC Onboarding Website for Hive and request OpenOnDemand access for the UC Davis HPC Sponsored Public Group (publicgrp). If you have trouble with this, come to this week's D-RUG or post on
Discourse.
Datalab will also be open for Tea
Time Thursday afternoon.
