Hey all, I encourage you to read the post below and show up if you're interested - we're pretty lucky to have Duncan Temple-Lang as a resource on campus.  He's not only a member of the R Core Team of developers, but he's also a great teacher - very good at taking complex R concepts and making them approachable for those who want to learn more.

Hi everyone

  I have had several questions about R in the last few days and thought it might
be useful and fun to have a general Q&A session tomorrow from 10-12.
Some people want to talk about the R programming philosophy, others about
doing particular tasks, and so on.

I've been one of the developers of R/S over the last 20 years, so I tend to know
how it works, but not necessarily details about all the 10,000 R packages.
But between us all, we can figure things out together.

We'll make coffee and I'll bring some snacks.
Feel free to invite others who may be interested.
