Residential greywater, which is wastewater generated from domestic
processes such as washing dishes, laundry and bathing, is a valuable
water resource that can be recycled to irrigate plants. Decentralized,
low maintenance, and low energy methods can be used to move, treat and
use water. In this unique course, you'll learn options for purifying
and reusing water for your home, business or community, including:
designing successful greywater systems; installing systems with common
household plumbing; choosing appropriate greywater plants; and legal
and practical considerations for greywater reuse.

Students will help to install a greywater system to process the water
from the Solar Living Center's volunteer shower house.
