ICYMI: Newsletter Special: Uncle Tom Tikvah Rufo Macher Glenn Loury and Charles Murray

An important SHU pedagogical principle is the idea that we do not know everything. The corollary to that principle is that repetition is very helpful when it comes to retaining the things that we do know. Never assume anything about what others know, and never look down on them, as there are many things that you too do not know about. Keeping this in mind, it is axiomatic that Sephardic Jews remain extremely sensitive to the issue of anti-Black racism, given that our Ashkenazi Zionist brethren have affectionately called us “Schvartze Hayyes.”
In this spirit, I decided to prepare a special newsletter addressing the work of Black Neo-Con Glenn Loury, whose interview with our dear friend Bari Weiss I recently posted without any comment, other than snarkily calling the it “Bari Weiss and Glenn Loury at The Rufo Institute: Attacking the New Racial Consciousness, Promoting White Jewish Supremacy in the Name of Reverse Racism and Thomas Sowell.”
After reading the interview with Weiss, I decided to sign up for his Substack.

The second post was even clearer in its position on the matter of the first post:
I realized that not only will many SHU readers not know who Loury is, but they might not remember the 1990s controversy over Charles Murray’s notorious piece of faux science White Supremacy The Bell Curve.
It is critical to note that Loury, marking the 41:13 point in the interview, exonerates Murray of being a racist.
This is a classic form of self-hating Black Neo-Con exculpatory apologia which requires us to return to the perennial scene of the Bell Curve crime to understand just what a deplorable person Murray truly is.
In the second of his Substack posts that I received, Loury states the following on Murray and his execrable book:
I attacked Charles Murray's book with Richard Herrnstein, The Bell Curve, which had its problems in my view, but which I think has stood the test of time as a very important work of social science that has to be reckoned with. Charles Murray is not a white supremacist, the Southern Poverty Law Center to the contrary notwithstanding.
It is unclear whether Loury learned PILPUL from his Ashkenazi Neo-Con pals, or whether he was born with it. Whatever the case, it is clear that duplicitous ratiocination and casuistry are a critical part of his intellectual ethos.
We thus begin this special newsletter with my article on John McWhorter and the Black Neo-Con attack on Critical Race Theory. Indeed, in the article I present an important study by a Cornell University grad student on the general matter of Black Neo-Conservatism, which prominently includes Loury.
As we have come to learn, The Manhattan Institute has now become The Rufo Institute, and more than that, The Tucker Rufo Institute; as the attacks on CRT and the New Racial Consciousness in the Black Lives Matter era have become an extension of Alt-Right White Nationalism in the Trumpist context.
The locus classicus of Loury’s self-hatred and acquiescence to White Supremacy was his 1992 First Things article which elevated Booker T. Washington over W.E.B. DuBois, as he sought to justify the appointment of the vile Pornographer Thomas to the SCOTUS chair of the venerable Civil Rights saint Thurgood Marshall. And we know how that one turned out. The brazen and still-shocking article perfectly encapsulates everything that is wrong with Black Neo-Conservatism, and draws a straight line between the Reagan era and the current ferment over CRT.
I then take the liberty of presenting again Loury’s amazing interview with Weiss, which allows us to see the Intersectionality of the new Right Wing Cancel Culture with its spurious attempt to hide behind Civil Rights and Free Speech, when in reality it is all about Reverse Racism of the Alan Bakke variety.
From the Weiss interview we turn back the clock to an excellent scientific attack on Murray’s 1994 book. Ned Block’s painstakingly detailed dismissal of Murray’s faux science authoritatively exposes his noxious racism; a factor that we will see has changed little, if at all, over the years.
Murray was tapped in 2007 by – who else? – Commentary magazine to do what is now in effect the prototype for Bret Stephens’ elemental form of White Jewish Supremacy. It is always about the Ashkenazi Jewish genetic hubris and its deeply offensive mien. From the article we can see the obvious Intersectionality between Murray and the larger Jewish Neo-Con movement, and the way in which it serves to mark the White Jewish Supremacists as fully compliant with the New Fascism.
Indeed, in a Washington Post article from 2010 – right in the middle of the Obama presidency – Murray lauded the Tea Party racists as fighting against the “New Elites”; shorthand for a Black man being in the White House against the wishes of the old Confederacy and its debased values. The article presages what would come with the Trump seditionist hordes on January 6th of this year.
Lest we think that Murray has had some radical change of mind or a rethinking of his Bell Curve thesis, we close with articles on two of his more recent racist books.
June Carbone and Naomi Cahn look at his 2010 tome Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010, which continues his obsession with White Grievance in the perception of minority advancement and empowerment. The book could well be seen as a pseudo-academic dry run for the Miller-Bannon racist regime that took over the White House for four years.
Parul Sehgal reviews Murray’s latest book Human Diversity: The Biology of Gender, Race, and Class which, in a similar manner to the attempt by Loury to whitewash (sic!) his perennial racist biologism, tries to do the PC dance, but to no avail. It is very much an affirmation of the adage, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”
However much he tries to soften his racist image, Murray remains one of our most implacable “academic” White Supremacists; a man who continues to act as a vital inspiration for minority self-haters like Loury, Stephens, and Weiss.
We can thus see how the Neo-Con movement, which drew its inspiration from the racist elitism of Leo Strauss and the University of Chicago mafia, remains a vital, if malignant, force in the world of The Tikvah Fund, The Manhattan Institute, and FOX News in their compulsion to rebrand toxic racism as a legitimate response to CRT and the New Racial Consciousness.
It is just putting the proverbial Old Wine into New Bottles.
