Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Attacks BLM on the George Floyd Anniversary!

As if it is some surprise:

https://mailchi.mp/1def14f95918/what-happened-today-may-25-2021?e=4b6f9b46a8

The Whore of Trump and her minions are sticking to their story:

It has been one year since George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, sparking months of protests and riots in U.S. cities as well as a debate over race and policing. Two trends have become clear in the aftermath of Floyd’s death: Violent crime has surged in cities across the country, including Minneapolis, while support for the Black Lives Matter movement, which peaked at the height of the Floyd-inspired protests last summer, has declined substantially. In May 2020, 61% of U.S. adults, according to a recent Morning Consult poll, expressed approval for Black Lives Matter. Today that number has fallen to 48%. The results of the poll differ along racial and party lines, with more Black and Democrat-identifying respondents expressing approval for Black Lives Matter. But the overall percentage of Americans with unfavorable views of Black Lives Matter is now 41%, up from 30% last summer. Meanwhile, the number of people who say police violence is a “serious problem” dropped from 79% last May to the current 69%. The shift appears tied to the unpopularity of ‘defund the police’ initiatives—a cause touted by activists and the media that has consistently polled poorly across all racial groups in the United States—as well as to the dramatic spike in violent crime that began under COVID-19 lockdowns but has continued into 2021. A New York Times headline from earlier this week illustrates the dilemma: “A Year After George Floyd: Pressure to Add Police Amid Rising Crime.”

And here:

The first article is from some Data Intelligence company called Morning Consult:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morning_Consult

They have the correct “Intelligence” for the Zalman Bernstein crowd!

The second article is from our Neo-Con anti-Woke friends at The Manhattan Institute:

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/ocCkHawJzrY/m/1ncbGXfaAQAJ

The idea of course is to help undermine passage of the legislation that is currently being proposed by Democrats that would make police accountable for their actions in the wake of so many violations of the Civil Rights of Blacks and other minorities:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/here-s-what-george-floyd-justice-policing-act-would-do-n1264825

This is the Tikvah Tablet way to honor the memory of George Floyd.

By desecrating it.

The lesson is clear: When Jews are in danger, Whore of Trump Newhouse goes ballistic; when Blacks are in danger, Whore of Trump Newhouse could care less.

Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Demands You Cancel The New York Times!

We already know how Tikvah Tablet feels about Wokeness and Cancel Culture.

That did not stop them from trying to Cancel their enemies at The New Yok Times:

https://mailchi.mp/3fd78117807c/what-happened-today-may-25-808701?e=4b6f9b46a8

Apparently, Abe Foxman heeded the call!

https://www.algemeiner.com/2021/05/28/abe-foxman-cancels-new-york-times-subscription-over-front-page-blood-libel-anti-israel-bias/

Indeed, this is what is sounds like when White Jewish Supremacy beats its head against the wall:

The New York Times is running an event tonight: “How to Save Ourselves From Disinformation.” The talk, presented as a special treat for Times subscribers, features comedian Sarah Silverman in conversation with a trio of Times writers who cover the deeply politicized disinformation beat. Like the concept of disinformation itself, the event is sure to blur the lines between comedy, parody, and dystopian tyranny.

Let’s run through this from the top: The New York Times ran dozens of articles that labeled scientific inquiries into the possibility that coronavirus escaped from a Chinese laboratory as dangerous “misinformation.” That started in the earliest days of the pandemic—for example, in this article from Feb 17, 2020, that dismissed the theory of lab escape as something conjured by right-wing politicians and called it a “conspiracy theory [that] lacks evidence and has been dismissed by scientists.” Fast-forward to this week, and the Times is reporting that Dr. Anthony Fauci now admits that the “conspiracy theory” may be true, while President Biden calls for more investigation into it. It wasn’t a single article but a steady drumbeat from the Times—along with most other major publications—that stigmatized legitimate areas of scientific inquiry as misinformation and disinformation motivated, it was often alleged, by racism and xenophobia.

“As the coronavirus has spread across the world, so too has misinformation about it, despite an aggressive effort by social media companies to prevent its dissemination,” read a Times article from last March authored by, among others, Sheera Frenkel—who will be one of the experts on the panel tonight saving Times readers from disinformation one subscription fee at a time. Another one of the Times people on the panel, Kevin Roose, had the bright idea that to counter the disinformation threat, Biden should appoint a “reality czar.”

While we’re at it, the Times is also the newspaper that almost entirely ignored the ongoing wave of antisemitic violence in its own city before publishing a column this week under the headline “Attacks on Jews over Israel Are a Gift to the Right.” Thankfully, the Times went and stealthily rewrote that headline with no note to readers acknowledging the change. That’s not disinformation, folks! It’s re-information. Keep it straight.

And who can forget noted disinformation and antisemitism expert Sarah Silverman, who took to Twitter last week to clarify, “WE ARE NOT ISRAEL,” in response to the assaults on Jews in the United States. Fact check: true. Ms. Silverman definitely is not Israel.

Should you cancel your subscription to The New York Times? Of course you should. You should immediately cancel your subscription to everything but The Scroll. We’re all you need. But after you’ve canceled all those subscriptions—and thank you for that act of loyalty—consider that the threat of disinformation is used to protect the very people who trumpet it the loudest from their own egregious failings. They want endless latitude for their own failings along with the power to police and punish others’ mistakes. It’s a racket.

As we will see in the following note, “disinformation” is the province of Tikvah Tablet!

It HAS to be WUHAN: The Trumpscum is All Over the Place!

I do not closely follow the Alt-Right Lysol Insurrectionists, so I was struck by the following post by the Trumpist Matt Taibbi last Monday:

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/fact-checking-takes-another-beating?token=eyJ1c2VyX2lkIjo2NTQ0OTU3LCJwb3N0X2lkIjozNjc3NTQ1MiwiXyI6IndlQk5UIiwiaWF0IjoxNjIxODk4OTc3LCJleHAiOjE2MjE5MDI1NzcsImlzcyI6InB1Yi0xMDQyIiwic3ViIjoicG9zdC1yZWFjdGlvbiJ9.f052Zj5nMOd3flGSJu4HscQApJQVba_Nd3lMDyZr3tU

Taibbi was once a hero of mine – until he went over the Greenwald/Assange/Putin side:

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/aaugh-a-brief-list-of-official-russia

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/russiagate-is-wmd-times-a-million

The Hate America Left has been with Putin and Trump for a while now.

I will spare you my many articles on it, but hope that you remember them.

We now have the Wuhan conspiracy merging with the other Bete Noire of the Trumpists, Dr. Fauci:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/republican-bill-fire-fauci-biden-medical-officials-covid

Apparently, Fauci is now wavering on the Wuhan conspiracy:

https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/24/politics/fauci-donald-trump-coronavirus/index.html

First, the Trumpists – Taibbi included – do not trust Fauci.  So, why should we trust them when they are trusting him?

Ask Whore of Trump Newhouse:

https://mailchi.mp/f8378a76eacd/what-happened-today-may-6-808685?e=4b6f9b46a8

On Monday, we got this garbage from Tikvah Tablet The Scroll:

A newly disclosed U.S. intelligence report and recent statements by Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, together give credence to the likelihood—previously dismissed as a dangerous conspiracy theory—that COVID-19 originated in a Chinese laboratory. In November 2019, roughly the time many scientists believe the SARS-CoV-2 virus began spreading through the Chinese city of Wuhan, three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology got sick enough that they required hospital care, according to a U.S. intelligence assessment reported for the first time on Sunday in the Wall Street Journal. While there is still dispute among scientists over the origins of the virus, the new disclosure adds to a growing body of evidence for the “lab leak” hypothesis and increased calls from scientists to investigate the pandemic’s origins. Last summer, Fauci told National Geographic that “everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature.” But earlier this month, when an interviewer asked if he was still confident that the virus “developed naturally,” Fauci said, “No. I’m not convinced about that. I think that we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we find out to the best of our ability exactly what happened.”

And here:

Note well – and it is surely no coincidence – that the Tikvah Tablet article is by whackjob Norman Doidge – a true Whore of Trump favorite:

https://groups.google.com/g/davidshasha/c/GpmRv_HvRm4/m/6SayA5fLCwAJ

Tikvah Tablet The Scroll knows where its bread is buttered!

Now, it is imperative that the virus was created by Chinese scientists, because we can then hate them with impunity!

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/there-were-3-800-anti-asian-racist-incidents-mostly-against-n1261257

That, and it is a big Trump Talking Point.

As CNN’s Chris Cillizza states, there is nothing definitive about anything to do with Wuhan:

The issue, then, is not whether Fauci has moved his position on the possible origins of the virus but rather why he is doing so. Fauci defenders will insist that he is simply evolving his view based on information that has come out over the last year. Fauci opponents will insist he knew all along that the lab theory was a possibility and downplayed it solely to make Trump look bad.

In the midst of that debate, it's important to remember that Trump never provided any evidence for his vague claims about the origins of the virus. "Something happened," was as far as he would go.

It's also critical to remember that there would be a major distinction -- even within the lab theory -- between the virus accidentally getting out and it being purposely released as a sort of weapon. Trump and his allies have long flicked at the latter explanation but without any further explanation or proof.

It is a big nothing burger.

Liel Leibovitz is Very Angry About Using the Word Islamophobia

The Tikvah Fund world is very concerned with Islamophobia, as we can see in the following Commentary magazine article by Christine Rosen:

https://mosaicmagazine.com/picks/politics-current-affairs/2021/05/why-the-anti-israel-left-cant-condemn-anti-semitism-without-condemning-islamophobia/

https://www.commentarymagazine.com/author/christine-rosen/

The very angry Tikvah Tablet The Scroll Islamophobe Leibovitz agrees!

As Jews were being pummeled, punched, spat at, intimidated with explosive devices and singled out for violence and harassment all across America this week, the righteous men and women of the Democratic Party were quick to denounce the twin scourges behind this slew of mini-pogroms: anti-Semitism and—drumroll, please—Islamophobia.

“We’ve recently seen disturbing anti-Semitic attacks and a troubling rise in Islamophobia,” crowed Bernie Sanders. “If you are committed to a future of equality and peaceful coexistence, please stand united against anyone who promotes hatred of any kind.” Rep. Ayanna Pressley, too, strongly condemned “the rise in anti-Semitism and Islamophobia we’re seeing across the country,” as did Jamaal Bowman, Julian Castro, Cori Bush, Marie Newman and many, many others.

The Party of Science (TM) ought to like hard, incontrovertible, empirical evidence, so here are two fun facts: Between 2012 and 2018, there have been 763 total incidents motivated by anti-Muslim bigotry, according to the one in-depth survey conducted by the liberal New America think tank. Incidents here includes anything from someone covering the door of a mosque in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with bacon to someone else leaving menacing voice mails on a Muslim’s man answering machine; thankfully, the list includes very, very few reports of actual, physical violence.

Over on the anti-Semitic side of the divide, according to the ADL, we’ve had 2,000 incidents. Last year alone. In 2020, the group reported, 31 Jews were physically attacked for being Jewish, more than half of them in New York City. That number will almost certainly shoot way up as 2021’s numbers are tallied, as every day brings with it a fresh case of violence against Jews. Again, the same is objectively, observably and blissfully untrue of Muslims, the majority of whom, in Brooklyn or anywhere else, are free to walk around without fearing that someone will rush over and bash their head in for no reason other than their beliefs.

So, what’s going on here? Why are so many Democrats sounding like carbon copies of each other and insisting that the beast we’re fighting has not one head but two?

You could be blunt and say that because virtually all of Democratic politics these days is about intersectionality, which means dividing the world into convenient and absurd and poorly defined categories like “anti-racist” versus “white supremacist” or “supporter of nonbinary gender fluidity” versus “transphobe,” it’s important to recast the attacks in familiar terms, making them not only about Jews but about Muslims—and, by proxy, all other oppressed minorities—as well. This reimagines a specific stream of specific acts aimed at intimidating a specific group of people as another universal battle between the good and the woke on the one hand and the bad and bigoted on the other.

This explanation, however, doesn’t do much to answer the question at heart: Namely, why, of all forms of prejudice, is Islamophobia mentioned again and again whenever a progressive politician strains to sound genuine while talking about battered Jews. The answer, likely, is grim: Because, at least judging from this week’s string of attacks, the perpetrators of anti-Semitic violence are very often Muslim.

Waseem Awawdeh, for example, a 23-year-old New Yorker who viciously assaulted a Jewish man in Midtown Manhattan last week and then boasted he’d do it again if given the chance, doesn’t fit the left’s fantasy of the prototypical hater. He’s not KKK. He isn’t a Trump supporter. He’s not some benighted cisgender white male with rage toward the Other. He’s a pro-Palestinian activist who pals around with supermodel Bella Hadid. What would lead such a charmer to savage a Jew in broad daylight? The answer must be Islamophobia: Some other, greater and more primordial hatred must’ve driven Awawdeh to pounce. Just as serious thinkers on the left argued earlier this year that black Americans attacking Asian Americans were only doing so because they had internalized the logic of white supremacy that is “the root of all race-related violence in the U.S.,” as one nutjob professor put it in an op-ed, so must it be true that all anti-Jewish attacks in America are really the result of Islamophobia, and because the Jewish state seems to be at war with Muslims, which is a pretty phobic thing to do, well, those Jews probably brought those attacks on themselves somehow. On college campuses, they call this kind of reasoning “blaming the victim,” and they teach young kids that it’s a bad thing you shouldn’t do.

I know, it is all so PILPUL addled that it is hard to follow.

Do not even try!

It is all the Chinese scientists’ fault.

And please do not be concerned with the Republican opposition to the 1/6 truth commission:

https://www.newsweek.com/house-advances-1-6-commission-despite-175-republicans-voting-against-1593080

There are much bigger problems at Tikvah Tablet.

Like attacking Muslims and Asians.

Bret Stephens Tries Unsuccesfully to Soften the Leibovitz Islamophobia

Just as I was revising the previous note late Monday evening, The New York Times posted dueling Ashkenazi columns on the New Anti-Semitism:

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/24/opinion/israel-palestine-zionism.html

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/24/opinion/anti-zionism-anti-semitism.html

The first piece by Michelle Goldberg is a reasoned and reasonable assessment of the current outbreak of violent Anti-Semitic attacks in America, the second piece is primo HASBARAH PILPUL from Bret “Jewish Genius” Stephens and his Tikvah SAPIR racism.

It is clear, in spite of the perennial Neo-Con hysteria on Anti-Semitism, that we are now dealing with a new virulent strain of Jew-hatred in the wake of the current violence in Israel/Palestine.

That being said, Stephens remains a Tikvah racist who largely remained mute on Alt-Right Trumpist Anti-Semitism, as continues to be the case with Bari Weiss and Newhouse herself.

As with the WUHAN meme, the idea is to demonize all Muslims and Arabs; which is, unsurprisingly, a mirror image of what these despicable attackers are doing with all Jews.

Nuance is not something we can expect from Stephens or from his Tikvah SAPIR allies.

In spite of this, it is critical that we continue to attack the Jewish racists and their Muslim counterparts.

Emily Wilder and the Tikvah Tablet Bari Weiss Cancel Culture

I did not learn about the HASBARAH-induced Canceling of AP news associate Emily Wilder until I opened up The Intercept’s Friday fundraising e-mail:

https://theintercept.com/2021/05/25/emily-wilder-firing-ap-right-wing/

It is apparently a thing:

https://www.vox.com/recode/22448032/emily-wilder-ap-israel-palestine-tweets-firing-journalism-objectivity

https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/fired-ap-reporter-emily-wilder-calls-out-censorship-of-journalists-i-will-not-be-intimidated-into-silence/ar-AAKh10k

Since Tikvah Tablet The Scroll does not have a website, I am not sure if they addressed it, but it is certain that those Tikvah Free Speech militants Bari Weiss and SAPIR Bret Stephens did not.

I found this nugget trolling Weiss and her hypocrisy:

https://mobile.twitter.com/zei_squirrel/status/1395489676845371398

The tweet is worth reprinting:

page bari weiss and the rest of the substack free speech squad, I'm sure they'll rush to turn emily wilder into the most important hero of free speech after she was just fired bc deranged far right pro-israel creeps organized an anti-woke cancel culture mob against her employer

Free Speech is indeed a relative thing when it comes to Tikvah Tablet.
