Tikvah Trumpscum Bari Weiss Keeps on Keeping On with the COVID Denialism

Things changed when Covid hit. Early on in the pandemic, I publicly questioned whether schools had to be shut down. This didn’t seem at all controversial to me. I felt—and still do—that the draconian policies would cause the most harm to those least at risk, and the burden would fall heaviest on disadvantaged kids in public schools, who need the safety and routine of school the most.
I wrote op-eds, appeared on local news shows, attended meetings with the mayor’s office, organized rallies and pleaded on social media to get the schools open. I was condemned for speaking out. This time, I was called a racist—a strange accusation given that I have two black sons—a eugenicist, and a QAnon conspiracy theorist.
In the summer of 2020, I finally got the call. “You know when you speak, you speak on behalf of the company,” our head of corporate communications told me, urging me to pipe down. I responded: “My title is not in my Twitter bio. I’m speaking as a public school mom of four kids.”
But the calls kept coming. From legal. From HR. From a board member. And finally, from my boss, the CEO of the company. I explained why I felt so strongly about the issue, citing data on the safety of schools and the harms caused by virtual learning. While they didn’t try to muzzle me outright, I was told repeatedly to “think about what I was saying.”
You know, it is as if there is some Bill Maher script that all these degenerates are copying.
They are all Good Liberals, and then they just turn Trumpist Neo-Con because they want to be free of COVID restrictions and thus be free to kill their neighbors.
I would like to point to an excellent clip from Joy Reid’s MSNBC show that has Wajahat Ali taking down the COVID Freedom Grifter Yascha Mounk:

In the tense back and forth, Ali called out Weiss by name and insisted that Mounk was part of her cabal.

Facebook infamously censored the lab leak hypothesis, only to recant, when the journalists Nicholas Wade and Donald McNeil showed that this was a story that needed exploring. Empowering massive technology companies with the ability to censor anyone is dangerous for an open society. I investigated Facebook’s third-party censors and found that in one instance, they selected a “fact checker” who had already tweeted criticism of the article they were asked to check. This is akin to selecting a juror for a trial who already stated she believes the defendant is guilty.
To be honest, I am too tired and worn out to look up all the names listed in the idiotic article, only to say that I am sure that many of them are part of the FOX News universe and that they are also in with Weiss and Maher and the MAGA crowd.
As we nearly one million US death from COVID this sort of rhetoric should be criminalized.
