Newsletter Special: Tribute to Traitor Mueller

It now seems like a lifetime ago since I wrote my first article after the Trump presidential victory:
That article was titled “We Are All Living in Trumpworld Now: Americans Have Become ‘Idiot Sephardim.’”
Little did I know how those words would be so prophetic.
It now appears that all hope of bringing the Orange Pig to justice has been extinguished. It is thus appropriate to review the final stage of the exhausting and ultimately depressing process that began when the previously-respected Robert Mueller was appointed Special Prosecutor after the criminal firing of FBI director James Comey.
Reams and reams of brilliantly-reported articles have been published that laid out in excruciating detail the treasonous crimes of this administration and the shameless attempt to cover it all up in an attempt to beat the rap.
And thanks to Traitor Mueller, that is exactly what has happened.
I never thought things would ever reach this point, nor did I think that I would be compiling a special newsletter to try and explain how we were bamboozled by Mueller, who once promised the country that we would receive a fair adjudication of all the criminal madness that has gripped us since Trump entered the White House.
But we now know where we stand, and how Trump, Putin, and the rest of the COLLOOSION cabal have gotten away with it.
So, we begin this special newsletter at the beginning of the end with my article on the initial release of Mueller’s bogus Report which is unlikely to ever see the light of day in its complete and uncensored form. Once that Report was delivered it became eminently clear to those with critical sense, that things has gone seriously awry.
And while there are many Never Trumpers who continue to believe in Mueller’s rectitude, the facts prove otherwise.
As we began to process Mueller’s treasonous dereliction of duty, it also became clear that the Hate America factions on both the Left and the Right were thrilled to see the Special Prosecutor undermine our constitutional system and the Rule of Law. For the Hate America Left it was all about sticking it to the system they so despise, and to the Trump Right it was about gaming the system in a way that allowed them to continue their vile hate and racism under the leadership of the Orange Pig and his Alt-Right political allies.
In a second article on the Hate America wingnuts I explored the irony of the Marxist Counterpunch coming to the defense of the FBI, as New York Times Conservative columnist Ross Douthat twisted himself into a pretzel trying to parse the New Fascism and what it meant to his fundamentalist religious beliefs. In both cases, we saw how the partisan ideologues put their partisan interests before the interests of America.
After a brief interval between Mueller’s handing over the bogus Report to Banana Republic AG Bill Barr, Trump’s very own Roy Cohn, and Barr’s “release” of it, we once again received confirmation that the process was deeply corrupt. Many on the Never Trump Left fixated on Barr’s malfeasance – and there was plenty of that – but made the fatal error of ignoring Mueller’s role in the corruption. My article on that part of the process shows how Mueller was the root cause of the problem, due to his refusal to do the job that he was assigned to do. Barr was just a footnote.
My final article on the matter was written in the wake of Mueller’s pusillanimous and arrogant public statement; equal parts threat, posturing, mumbling and bumbling. He performance reminded me how Trump has been responsible for undermining our FBI after many years of rehabilitation to repair the damage done to the institution by the odious psychopath J. Edgar Hoover.
Indeed, just has Trump has sought to restore the KKK and Neo-Nazi racists and kooks to the public arena and respectability, so too has he methodically and quite successfully dismantled our government institutions through a canny combination of corruption, malfeasance, greed, and sheer hubris. It is always easier to tear things down than to build them up.
In the end probably the worst part of all this destruction is how it has been normalized by the public and by the media. The gutless reaction to Mueller’s treason is a prime sign of this normalization process. It is not hard to see that Trump is a pathological criminal, but it is more difficult to see – and accept – that so many “normal” people – like Mueller – have gone along with the corruption and have done nothing to stop it.
Even though Mueller is a veteran law enforcement officer – and a proud Marine! – his abdication of responsibility for protecting the country reflects not only Trump exhaustion syndrome, but how easy it is for a democracy to slide into shades of tyranny and authoritarianism when due diligence is not served.
Now we are nowhere near the truly destructive stage, but what we have seen is a depressingly successful erosion of many socio-political advances achieved at great cost by generations of activists. It is unclear how lasting the damage to our civil institutions will be as we move into a time when Trump is not president. But there has already been significant damage, and the psychological effects of the worldwide advances of the Alt-Right racists and Fascists has led to many dangerous consequences, not least a perilous increase in Anti-Semitism:

Where we go from here is an open question. The Democratic Party has once again shown its inability to unite, with a staggering array of candidates that might be divisive enough to hand Trump a second term. And of course, there is the lure of Impeachment, which could accomplish the same thing.
But when we think about why things are the way they are, we must point to Traitor Mueller who was the one person charged with putting a check on the criminal activities and the treason of Donald Trump and his mafia.
And Mueller, as we have now learned, refused to do his duty, as he swore he would do when taking his sacred oath of office.
