I have recently pointed out – for the umpteenth time – how Sephardim have been excised from the White Jewish media:

Indeed, I left out one thing: Sephardim are allowed to speak on behalf of Ashkenazi Zionism as HASBARAH pawns.
This week we got another perfect example of the phenomenon from Hen Mazzig courtesy of the Point of No Return blog and The Los Angeles Times:
Mazzig is an Israeli Jew of Iraqi origin who is a Far Right Zionist radical HASBARAH stooge:

It thus comes as absolutely no surprise that The Tikvah Fund’s Mosaic magazine also re-posted the LAT with lightning speed:
So, while Sephardim continue to be eliminated from the Jewish discourse and Sephardic intellectual culture is erased by the Ashkenazi racists, the Self-Haters are very hard at work supporting those very Ashkenazim.

Then there is always Lyn Julius and her Ashkenazi Zionist HASBARAH:
Indeed, it did not take her long to jump into the Hen Mazzig fray!
Naturally, she next found a prime spot in Sheldon Adelson’s HASBARAH rag Israel Hayom:

She decided to pump up the Zionist HASBARAH by once again denying White Jewish Supremacy and its foundational Ashkenazi racism.
She idiotically claims that Israel is actually controlled by Mizrahi Jews rather than by Ashkenazim.
And the White Jewish Supremacy just loves her!
And why not?
What we see in her pitiful argument is how the Mizrahi Jews in Israel have ultimately succumbed to this debilitating racism and integrated themselves in a society that has only contempt for them and for their cultural heritage.
The Sephardic heritage remains a second class citizen in Israel, if it even exists there at all.
We will of course set aside the “Bourekas and Haminados” nonsense and focus on the legacy of Al-Andalus; the latter has no role to play in the Russian Shtetl Zionist values of Israel’s founders and the siege mentality of its current Prime Minister and the apocalyptic values of his Religious Zionist supporters.

Frantzman has sought to speak for the Sephardim, and here he goes after the African-American academic Marc Lamont Hill, who himself has been the object of some intense HASBARAH attacks:

Hill decided to turn the debate into a Palestine food fight, thus opening the door to the usual contentiousness.
Frantzman then entered the fray to defend the Holy Jewish State of Ashkenazim in a way that manipulates Sephardic Jews and turns them into pawns of the HASBARAH agenda.

Tablet does not publish articles by Sephardim on Sephardic intellectual topics – or any other important topics of Jewish concern – but it does see a good HASBARAH story when it pops up!
Indeed, all roads lead back to The Tikvah Fund.
Marc Lamont Hill is a pretty good dart board, so here we have Hen Mazzig responding to him in true Tikvah fashion.
Indeed, Sephardim are not permitted to respond to racist Ashkenazim, but they are permitted to defend the State of Israel from any attacks.
What such Arab Jews know about the classical Sephardic-Andalusian tradition is anyone’s guess; but it is probably not very much.
Mazzig concludes the article with an attack on Peter Beinart and other Jewish Liberals who defend Hill:
In the wake of some of Lamont Hill’s recent controversial statements about Israel, several leading Jewish voices, including Peter Beinart, rushed to defend Lamont Hill against charges of anti-Semitism. It is hard, however, to see how distorting Jewish history and silencing Jewish voices to promote a vicious and false charge could be construed as anything but.
Sadly, this is all just more Zionist noise on the Palestine Question and does little to actually address the problem of White Jewish Supremacy.
Whoever wins the debate, the Sephardic Heritage loses.
