Microsoft is launching some kind of new product that lets you piece
together related digital images.

SEATTLE - Microsoft Corp.'s new digital photo sharing site spent most of
its first day offline as its servers strained to handle a flood of traffic.

The site, called Photosynth, stitches together a set of related digital
photos into a presentation that allows viewers to zoom and pan across the
scene.

(Msnbc.com is a joint venture of Microsoft and NBC Universal.)"

Hey there Network Buddies
What do you do when your laptop gets full
I know I have x gig of pics
y gig of videos
z gig of music
Do any of you have an ipod or mp3 player. I don't YET.
What can you tell me about space and diff between .wav and .mp3
I just used a lot of space with my Maui pics including swiming with
the turtles.
My Bro and his wife asked his 2 sisters to go to Maui with them on
their 10 yr wedding anniversary.
All is well. Mom & Dad's big goal was for us to all stay friends.
It was a great trip and we are well bonded

So tell me about House Cleaning on a Laptop and what you guys do.

Aloah
Dorita

Buy a new one with a bigger hard drive :-) he he

No seriously, Burn to DVD (2 copies, one for safe keeping), and/or External Sata Hard Drive for under $200 that works on firewire (ieee 1394), USB 2.0, and esata.

Father-in-law, Al, back in hospital again... so my time is chaotic.

Dorita,

I am maxing out my laptop at this time as well. The kids have put a few games on that I will remove, but I do not have a lot of pictures on my laptop. I have a cell phone that doubles as an mp3 player and I have 3+ gb on it, but I haven't removed many from my laptop's hard drive either. One easy way to remove the pictures, videos, music from the laptop would be to get a couple of usb thumb drives to store the media and dedicate them for this storage. It is easier to add data to one of these as opposed to burning a CD or DVD every time you want to save something else. There are some good prices on 2 gb, 4 gb, or 8 gb drives.

These are simple options and I hope this helps a little. I am glad you had a good trip to Hawaii.

I will keep your father-in-law in my thoughts and prayers.
