Here I am in this wonderful city of New York… It took almost 3 hours
from Miami… I remembered once on the plane that the night before the
flight the song I had posted on facebook was precisely the one that
was on while boarding… Norah Jones’s “Come away with me”… If you’ve
already read my chronicle on the hotel adventure in Bruxelles, you’ll
laugh if I told that this time everything went perfect with the hotel…
A small, but really nice and elegant room…just what I needed to charge
my batteries… As my room was not ready by the time I got to the hotel
from the airport, I left the luggage with the concierge and took a
stroll down the streets of Manhattan…. A lot of noise, a lot of
people, but that didn’t bother me at all…I kind of enjoyed it… It was
lunch time and I passed a place where I thought I might stop after
entering a pharmacy right on the opposite corner to the hotel… And
life surprised me once more as I’ve met one my Angels in NY. The lady
who attended me was a really nice Romanian. We went out for lunch
together and she took me to the very place I had thought about having
lunch at…isn’t that crazy?! The same night I went out for dinner with
some good friends and had grilled prawns and sushi at Sushi Samba….
and a mojito…of course… just to get in the mood for next day’s
concert… Rainy days in NY…. I went out walking wandering through the
streets… I entered Empire State Building, but I didn’t go up as I
didn’t want to do that alone... I bought some gifts for friends trying
to get them a little glimpse of this amazingly beautiful city… I think
I was floating, not walking…. I passed Madison Square Garden several
times making sure I wouldn’t miss it the next day …I’m so bad at
space orientation  even if the hotel was so close… O could see
Pennsylvania Station from my room…. 19th floor… incredible view!
August 28th….I was looking forward for the concert that night… I was a
little nervous, but I had the feeling that everything was going to be
just fine… I was by myself, but I didn’t mind it… I knew I had to be
there and enjoy every second… A good friend of mine was always telling
me not to forget to smile and she was so true…. I enjoyed every second
in NY… Of course I had a special outfit for the concert … an elegant
rocker I might say … I was also carrying photos and markers for
autographs…I thought just in case….but it couldn’t be this time….maybe
next time … Once inside MSG, I was so impressed with the huge arena
and the number of people attending… I started to take some photos just
to make sure everything was working fine by the time David would
perform and be able to get good pictures I could share further….I was
on special mission  …. It was quite difficult to pass some guards as
they would only allow you to take one photo….and besides, my camera
did not have a very good zoom so I felt so frustrated… And that’s when
I met other two Angels  The lady and her daughter sitting right next
to me helped me with the photos… I saw David Palau on the stage and I
thought OK, this is it  I was so nervous because I knew David was…
People started applauding, singing Dígale, then the single Esclavo de
sus besos and then Ave María… To tell you the truth, I was there, but
I was under a state of shock so if it weren’t for the videos on the
internet I would not remember anything … I remember singing and
dancing, trying to record some videos and take some pictures…. But
still soooo nervous…..After reading David’s comments on the forum, I
can tell you that I understand perfectly what he felt because I’ve
been through the same situation when I used to interpret for the
United Nations and crazy or not, but it was in 2006 in New York …
What is it that I remember?! I danced on Cristian Castro’s Azul, I
started to recover my breath by the time David sang with Luís Fonsi
Aquí estoy yo and I enjoyed it at the maximum … Juanes, Enrique
Iglesias, Paulina Rubio…. I loved Laura Pausini…she has an
extraordinary voice! By the time Alejandro Sanz started singing, I was
already relaxed and I danced like crazy on Corazón Partio… I enjoyed
every second…then Don Omar…and the show came to an end and I couldn’t
believe it…. I was there….The same feeling like in Bruxelles….I just
wanted it to last longer….. I was so sad, but happy at the same time…
the very next day I had to leave NY… back to Miami and then back to
JFK International Airport NY on my way to Spain… it´s in th eairport
in New York I´m writing this chronicle as I had to wait for 5 hours
till the connection flight... I feel a little tired, but I never
forget to smile and laugh as laughter is the closest thing to the
grace of God (Karl Barth)…. Hope you enjoyed reading 
