The recent virtual General Meeting (VGM) was the second-last step in creating a new batch of proposals (65!) for new policies, bylaws and constitutional amendments. The last step is member ratification, which has been delayed somewhat because of the Party's continuing resource challenges.

A related non-outcome stemming from those resource challenges is that, at the time I write this, the GPC site has no information about the VGM or the ratification process. The good news for conscientious GPC members is that the Party's experimental website, AKA WeDecide!, lists all the proposals awaiting ratification—and links to the proposals' text, with great functionality; you can...

  • endorse

New process
In other VGM news, the Party is finally moving ahead on a directive "to continuously improve the Party's policy development process" (G18-D001). The general idea now is to create a better way for making policy: encourage members to engage in the process non-stop. That way, our general meetings will be more efficient and less fractious.
