intro

My name's jme ("Jamie"),

my pronouns he/they, signifying cis gender (he) and celebration of fluidity (they)
I'm the Financial Agent for the Davenport riding (AKA Electoral District #35018)
I know why members here don't participate (never mind volunteer)

Moments ago I was in GVote, the interface for capturing and exploiting (in a good way) member data—as well as lots of non-member data btw. After doing what I'd signed in to do (delete a wrong address) I clicked the top alert in the Activities tab, which stated that "Mr. X [no data breaches here] Identified as Strong Green."

Given all the actions taken by Mr. X since Dec. 22, I wondered what he did 13 days ago to become a Strong Green. Solving that mystery is quickly done with an email to Randi Ramdeen in GPC Support...

Something else came to mind, namely you, dear reader. Despite lots of contrary evidence, your beautiful existence is the key ingredient in the participatory democracy recipe.

Also, someone in the executive has to give you the bad news and it might as well be me because I'm going to make it happen within a week when I email Elections Canada to say I am no longer the Financial Agent.

There is method in my madness (see list, below). The imminent dissolution of the Davenport EDA brings the conditions for a thorough make-over—working title 'PLUG':
