GreenPartyCanada2, a forum for grassroots democracy in the GPC, offers short (40 min) Zoom meetings* in the weeks before the GPC annual general meeting (Feb. 24 and 25):
1. MOTIVATION - Tuesday January 30 and Thursday February 1 at 7:30 PM
Why bother to discuss grassroots democracy?
Why not let the Party deal with this?
2. SKILLS - Tuesday February 6 and Thursday February 8 at 7:30 PM
How can we help to build the grass roots?
How do we deal with people who lack social skills (e.g., listening)?
3. TOOLS - Tuesday February 13 and Thursday February 15 at 7:30 PM
Is there anything aside from the GPC constitution that we can consider as foundational?
Does the Party still have access to the tools that Michael Strumberger used in the 2021-22 effort to change the Party's culture?
4. METHODS - Tuesday February 20 and Thursday February 22 at 7:30 PM
Is it necessary—or even helpful—to apply criteria for grassroots participation in the GPC?
What's the role of the Federal Council in supporting our grass roots?
To optimize participation, the meeting will be limited to eight participants.
* The
meeting link will be valid for all sessions; you're encouraged to pass it on.
RSVP not required.
Recordings of the meetings will be shared.
