Thanks for this thoughtful update.

  Things change quickly and so require the government to be agile in response. The freezing of funding for UNRWA, announced the day after your letter came out, is a striking example:

The United States, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Scotland have halted funding to the agency, whose facilities where displaced Palestinians sought shelter have been repeatedly attacked in Israeli air raids. - Al Jazeera reports

  Very disappointing.
