saying "al gafnah" after drinking Israeli wine

the prevalent minhag is to conclude the brocha m'ein gimmel with "al gafnah" when drinking wine from Eretz Yisroel.

does anyone know the source for this?

looking at the Mishna Berura in siman 208 seifim 10 & 11, one sees no mention of this, only to say "al peiroseha" on the fruit of 7 minnim - but not "al gafnah" on wine.

Surely you mean Shulchan Aruch, not Mishneh Brurah.

It's the exact sane rule; what possible reason would there be to
distinguish them? We don't need a source to do this, we'd need a source
*not* to.

As far as I know, in principle one also says "al michyosoh" when eating
mezonos grown in EY. However, since EY imports far more grain than it
produces, mezonos produced in EY is presumed to be made from imported
grain, so this is rarely a practical halacha. If, however, one happens
to know where the grain came from, one should say "al michyosoh".

True. But in my eyes learning shulchan aruch is incomplete without the mishna berura. So when the MB makes no mention of ועל פרי גפנה, it gets me wondering what is the source for saying it.

והנה, בראשונים והטור ושו"ע עפ"י הגמ' (ברכות מ"ד א) לא מוזכר השינוי בנוסח בין ארץ ישראל לחו"ל אלא לענין פירות, אך בברכ"י (המובא בקצרה בשע"ת הכא) מוזכר מנהג זה, וכן מפורש בס' אדמת קודש ח"א סי' ג' ושדה הארץ ח"ג סי' ו' וכה"ח סקנ"ח וכן המנהג פשוט וכמ"ש בשו"ת משנה הלכות ח"ו סי' מ"ו, ובשו"ת קנין תורה ח"ד סי' כ"א מביא בשם האדמו"ר מסאטמאר זצ"ל שהיה חותם בארץ ישראל 'על הארץ ועל פרי הגפן' וכתשובה לשאלה אמר שלא מוזכר בטושו"ע ובראשונים לומר על פרי גפנה, ובתשובות והנהגות ח"ג סי' ע"ה מביא בשם האדמו"ר מבעלזא זצ"ל שגם בפירות היה מסיים 'על הפירות' וכנראה משום שהיה חושש שמא הפירות אינם מגבולות הארץ.
