So sad to hear of Daves' death, he put up such a great fight that he fooled us all into thinking he was going to win. Colin and I certainly drank to Dave last night when when we heard.
My fondest memory of him is the North Europeans in Denmark when we were the coaches for the Scottish Team, he greeted the last gymnasts performance with a glass of cold white wine for me, drinking on the competition floor felt very decadent and exciting.
All we can say is that he lived his life to the full, his way, with a smile on his face, making lots of peoples lives richer. Not many people achieve that.
