ANYBODY GOT A DAD LIKE THAT ?

Be Joyful always, pray at all times, be thankful in all circumstances.
This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus
(The Bible, 1 Thessalonians 5:16)

Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.................

It is always possible to be thankful for what is given rather than to complain about what is not given.
One or the other becomes a habit of life—Elisabeth Elliot

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son,
"How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends! Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation. I just did it.

RSS walon ne attack kar diya hai.
Bachao !!!!

The biggest achievement in my life would not be taking "The Hulk" ride at Island of Adventure, Orlando.
It was actually teaching my helper how to read & write at Uttam Steels.

Its nowhere in the books.
Books are crap.
Lets not get into the books kind of discussion.

For a jumpstart, I believe a Man is known by his speech and not the kind of books he has read/ written/ tampered.

i sincerely believer that books are important and have a deep impact
on human psychology. The kind of books one reads has a lot of bearing
on the human attitude and thought process. I did never believed it
when i was in school but the more i grow up the more i belived
it.....this is purely a personal thought.....as regards to "tampering"
is concerned i have done that too....once in standard 9th i had
tampered the progress report for the mathematics marks...i had scored
16 but made it 61....i sincerely wanted to pass becuase that would
have been otherwise been a haatrick:( hee..hee....

Guys,

Many of you must have read it, but for those who haven't, buy and read:
"The Monk who sold his Ferrari" by Robin Sharma.
Robin is as if a freaking mind grenade.
He reads your mind thru the book.

Initially, you might find this book absolutely boring.
However, after you finish reading it, you would not forget even a single fable in your entire life.
Much said, now start reading.
:-)

I knew from those days in school that Amarjeet had an uncanny nag of
reading between the lines>>>>its just that he was kept subdued by some
sense of self piousness>>>the moment he left school he made the full
utilization of the immense powers he had it in him>>>>.

Answering to Dibya's comment:
The book is about a lawyer who has a very lavish lifestyle including a Red Ferrari, a huge Mansion, etc.
He gets pissed from his work completely.
He quits his million dollar job and then goes on a complete self exile and becomes a Modern Monk, with no assets.
This is where the story starts and rest is for your to read.

I knew I was a complete dumb at school.
Not sure how I evolved. May be lots of kicks have done the trick.
