You can find more information and tips about using your online timetable below. A guide with the below information including screenshots can be found here: Online timetable help for students (MS Word , 798kb)
If your timetable includes two activities taking place on different campuses with limited travel time (fewer than 30 minutes), the system will give you a warning. The warning symbol is a walking figure in a yellow box and is visible in all views of the timetable.
Activities that will be recorded have a symbol, a green "play button" icon, which is visible in all views of the timetable. This indicates that a recording of the activity will be made available through the VLE.
Your timetable will be available to you in MYUWE (login required) after the publication date and once you have started the registration process for your course. It can take up to three working days after your started the registration process for your timetable to show in MYUWE.
If you are an eligible student at level 2, 3 or on a Master's programme, you can request a change to your timetable via the Online Module Choice system (login required) between 12:00 (midday) on Wednesday 8 January 2024 and 24:00 (midnight) on Sunday 11 February 2024.
Student ambassadors will be available during this time to help you with the Online Module Choice system. Find them at the Information Point on Frenchay Campus.
Changes to your modules and activities are only possible if space is available and it does not create a clash with other activities on your timetable.
Student Support Advisers will be pre-selecting modules for students who have to retake one or more modules. While this is taking place, your timetable will only show the modules for the current academic year.
You can export your personal timetable via an iCalendar feed to your email calendar such as Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Office 365. For information on the iCalendar feed for UWE Bristol timetables, please see our iCalendar guidance.
Specific program delivery information will be confirmed by your academic area. The delivery options outlined below are to be used as a guideline. If you have any questions, please find your program page to review specific information and reach out to the academic contact listed.
Getting your timetable sorted at Uni has never been fun. In years 1 and 2 of my study the department posted a timetable for each year showing all modules and students were expected to remove the classes they did not take, which while not the best system it did seem to work fine. However this year the Uni has a timetabling website that you can use to create a timetable for the modules that you take, and in theory this is a good idea - students can connect to the website, enter the modules they take and get a personalized up-to-date timetable that they can use.
Annoyed by all these issues (and more) I wondered how hard it would be to write an improved version that fixes all of those issues. It turns out not hard at all - you can view it live here: timetables.tomforb.es.
CMIS Go should be your first point of reference for checking your timetable, however you can subscribe your timetable via Google Calendar and add it as a secondary calendar. For instructions go to the Moodle page
If you have problems with your timetable, or it's incorrect, check with the MyPort Information Hub that you're registered for the correct modules and the correct amount of credits in the Student Records system. The MyPort Hub will work with the central timetabling unit to investigate further.
If you're a current student, the MyPort Hub is your first port of call for any guidance you need with any aspect of University life. From questions about your course, to what support services are available to help you - contact the MyPort team to help find what you need:
Your timetable is shown on your Office 365 calendar that is linked to your University email address. If you are not sure how to access your email account we have added a guide below.
Updates can take time to appear in your Office 365 calendar and will be inputted in scheduled phases, therefore you may only be able to see a week or 2 in advance at the start of Semester and it could take up until the end of December for the full academic year to show.
To access the module info block, where one has been included, please navigate to a QMplus course area. On the right hand side of the page, you may then find the module info block, which contains a link to your timetable at the bottom of it:
When you first log in to your individual timetable you may see a partial timetable with only lectures and events common to everyone taking the same modules. Once you are assigned to tutorial/practical/seminar group(s) by your school, your timetable will also contain these events. Optional module events will also appear in your timetable at a later date.
All events are displayed in your local time (or the timezone you have set up on your device). If you are outside the UK there is no need to convert times. This has already been done for you. Join your events at the time shown in your app
You no longer need to look up timetables for your group on Moodle because individual timetables are now available at RGU through CELCAT Calendar. Instead you can login to CELCAT Calendar and look at the events you have been personally assigned to.
You should check MyTimetable regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes, for example, if additional detail is added to timetable entries, or if your Department adds extra events. Changes are most likely to take place within the first three weeks of the Semester.
If you are a new student you won't be able to see your individual timetable until we have added all the course and unit information which is specific to you. You will, however, be able to view the general course and unit timetables until your individual timetable is available.
Teaching on campus takes many forms, such as lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical and workshop classes. Each entry in your timetable will give you some information as to what will take place. Each entry notes what unit the teaching is for, which weeks the class runs in, who is teaching the class and where the class takes place. You might also see entries for events other than teaching. These could be departmental talks, skills sessions or information sessions that will be of use to you and may be mandatory.
If a session has been split into groups you'll see this noted in the name or it might show a group number ( -/01, -/02 etc.) at the end (e.g. "MN20082-Sem)/01"). If you have an individual timetable the entry will tell you which group you have been allocated to. If you don't yet have an individual timetable you should wait to be advised about the group you'll be in. If you haven't heard anything by the first week of teaching contact the Unit Convenor to find out which group you should be in.
Live Online Interactive Learning (LOIL) sessions are also noted on the timetable. You can access links to these sessions through the relevant Moodle unit page, which may also give you more information on what to expect from your online learning for that unit.
Unfortunately, we're not able to give all students a clash-free timetable, particularly where courses have many optional units. If you find a clash on your timetable talk to your department about it in the first instance. It might be possible for you to take a different option, or there may be other ways the content could be covered.
If you don't yet have an individual timetable, you'll be able to download your course and unit timetable by following our guide Accessing MyTimetable. You might need to contact your administrative Department Timetable Liaison (DTL) for further information about the groups you've been allocated to.
You may have already opted to take a Director of Studies (DoS) approved option, but it may not be showing on your timetable. You should add the unit you are thinking of taking to your timetable (using the add button) to ensure there are no clashes (if there are, discuss them with your DoS). If there are no clashes then contact your programme administrator and let them know the unit you wish to study.
If you think something is wrong or missing with your timetable, and this is not covered in the information above, please contact timetabling. To help the team answer your query please provide as much information as you can including screenshots where applicable.

New students will be able to access their timetable upon completion of enrolment and module selection. Most new students will have complete timetables by Friday 29 September. The latest that all students will have complete timetables is Friday 13 October.
Any questions you have on accessing and understanding your timetable should be covered below. If you need help viewing your timetable, or something doesn't look right, please email stude...@reading.ac.uk.
The app presents your personalised timetable and a customisable view of the week ahead. If you can view your timetable in Outlook but are experiencing issues in the app, please report via the DTS self-service desk.
It is possible to view your timetable using CMISGo, but this provides fewer useful features than Outlook and the Student app. It is recommended that you use Outlook or the Student app to view your timetable.
You can find non-timetabled activities listed in your module on Blackboard in the Module Roadmap. This explains how the module is being taught and what learning activities you need to complete in your own time alongside your timetabled sessions. You may need to engage with these before your timetabled session(s).
