Dear Beloved daters,
This is the summary of today Sermon by Holy.
Please remember this is my paraphrase of her sermon and all the Words came from KJV translation.
Please imagine of a girl that is feel too fat, too ugly, too unworthy.
A middle aged man that was tired with his life, felt that his children are far, his wife not love him anymore, his job not going anywhere.. A lady escort?
A wife that watching TV, feeling also the same things that her children already have their own time, her husband that is too busy working.. a liquor being a friend?
Do we know who we really are?
That we remember, our Lord, Jesus Christ knew who He is.
John 13:3
"Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God"
He knew who He is really is. Things that He had, where He is come from, and where He will go unto.
How about us? Do we know who we really are?
What things that we let defined who we really are?
Will our job do that? Will our surroundings be? Nor will our achievement determined it?
How temporer those things are, what we will be when it was taken all out of us?
What we will be when our job is taken?
What we will be when our surroundings is taken?
What we will be if we failed to achieve?
The One who knew us and placed the definition of our life is the One who created us.
That words "My Identity comes from The One who created me" be true.
I am who He said who I am.
Then the question is Who we are in Christ?
Do you know?
Ephesians 1:3
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ"
That we are blessed with all spiritual blessings
Several points of our identity in Christ:
1. New Creation
2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new"
Do you remember that in Genesis, God created this beauty of the earth out of the Dark.
For our old self were gone and being transformed into a new being. Someone that God prepared us in the beggining.
If you ever asked yourself how to start this transformation?
Come unto Him, and let He renew your mind. For that He may change you, not fixing out of something broken, but as a new creation.
Rome 12:2
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God"
2. We are Forgiven
2 Corinthians 5:21
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him"
It is clear that God poured our sin unto Lord Jesus, and He take that burden unto the cross.
Collossian 2:13-14
"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; "
Hebrew 10:17
"And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more"
For it is that our Lord said He let go all our Sin.
Forgiven it is who we are.
1 John 1:9
"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"
3. We are Royal Family
John 1:12
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"
Rome 8:15-17
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together"
The beauty love from God, that we are so loved, that we become son of God, an heir.. taken out form our unworthiness into a place within the Family of Kingdom of God. Not just any family, precious son and daugther. Prince and Princess.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
How precious is someone that, The One, God of all, King of Kings would given His only Son for us? Priceless.
How do we respond then?
1. Change our life, see that our life is a valuable life. Thus we will treat, respond our life differently.
Seek what things that you really believe and you will see that your actions and words, respond come together corresponding what you believe.
2. We are royalty to server. A beloved of God who recieves all things, an everlasting love. See that you really own the things that you really need, and you will have a heart to serve, share.
3. We are His ambassador. Ambassador means the highest legislative position out of a foriegn country, in another word a true representative. We are His ambassador in this world, all things that we do represent Him that sent us.
2 Chor 5:20
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God"
Seek what His will is, and as a representative we may represent Him in our daily life and may bring blessings.
[in my own thought] Why Gospel translated as Good News? Because it brings hope and blessings for others. If the letter (words) already bring those objective, how about the actions or testimony?
Challenge our life in such a way.
See who we are in what our Creator told who we are.
