GitHub datejs project

From what I've read, the official place to get the latest version of
date.js is in SVN on google. However, I see the following GitHub
project appears to be the same:
http://github.com/datejs/Datejs

The commits on both Google SVN and GitHUB are by geoff at coolite dot
com. Can I assume that the github project will be kept current, and I
can clone it and pull updates from it? Or was it just an experiment in
using git and it is no longer going to be maintained?
