Hi,
I have installed handle sever 9.x from handle.net to handle our datasets using handle.
The guy from handle.net have verified that he can reach our server and it is running and accessible.
So the issue now is probably how the handle server can access our dataverse handles.

I added the following to our glassfish domain.xml:

     <jvm-options>-Ddvn.handle.baseUrl=dataverse.no/dvn/study?globalId=hdl:</jvm-options>
     <jvm-options>-Ddvn.handle.auth=10037.1</jvm-options>
     <jvm-options>-Ddvn.handle.admcredfile=/usr/local/hs/svr_1/admpriv.bin</jvm-options>

Any other things missing? I need help.

Cheers
Obi

Hi Obi,

I know almost nothing about running a Handle server but I did just notice the following at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/4972#issuecomment-435102703

"Our Dataverse was working fine with Handles but since about a week ago we are seeing a similar pattern. It takes a very long time for datasets to get published /deleted and we see handle exceptions. We have not upgraded or updated data verse or handle server. So this might be due to some other factor than older Handle.net libraries. I will post here if I get to the root of it."

I hope this helps!

Phil

Hi Philip,
Thanks for you answer.
I looked at dataverse.harvard.edu running dataverse 4.9.4, and I can see that the datasets with hdl are resolving. We are also running dataverse v 4.9.4 and handle system version 9,0.2. What version of handle system are you running?

Cheers
Obi

HI Obi,

I'm sorry, but I don't know. If you email sup...@dataverse.harvard.edu someone should be able to give you more information.

Thanks,

Phil
