We're happy to announce that
Dataverse 6.7 is now available with several new features and bug fixes. Payara was also upgraded to 6.2025.3.
New features. New release 6.7 features include:
- Ability to limit the number of files per dataset
- Curation status label enhancements
- Configurable search services
- Linking drafts
- Dataset metadata exports from drafts
- An API for switching Datasets to DOIs, for example
- Local Contexts' Traditional Knowledge (TK) Labels
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) server
- A new AI Guide
- OJS 3 is now a supported integration
- Tagged Docker images
- Rate limiting statistics API
Other great improvements and updates.For documentation writers:
- Sphinx was upgraded to 7.4.0
For developers:
- Development of Dataverse on Windows has been confirmed to work in some instances
- A Keycloak SPI, builtin-users-spi, has been implemented, allowing the use of Keycloak on instances with built-in accounts for OIDC authentication.
- Security enhancements have been made to XML parser configurations, and certain file previewers are now available in the development environment, along with documentation and configuration instructions.
