Hello everyone,

We encounter the Failed-to-publish error. Email notification says that it’s due to a failure to register or update the global identifier.

  1. It’s not the bug on v6, we are still on v5.11.
  2. We checked with DataCite – their service had a temporary issue, but we rule this out as we are still experiencing the failed-to-publish.
  3. The log file shows this error:

Caused by: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Anyone has ever encountered this error? Any suggestion, please?

Thanks

Yuyun

Is your cert valid?

Thanks for the lead, Phil.

Indeed, it is SSL cert. DataCite renewed their HTTPS SSL and caused connection to be denied.

cheers
